The Cité-ID Director has been appointed to the Scientific Committee of the City of London’s Counter-terrorism Preparedness and Societal Resilience Project.
Through the project, the City of London is collaborating with the cities of Barcelona,Manchester, Paris, Rotterdam and Stockholm to improve preparedness against the risk of terrorist attacks and better manage the recovery phase. The aim is to support and exchange learning around how to improve resilience in these large European cities.
A scientific committee of eight international researchers, including ENAP professor and director of Cité-ID, Marie-Christine Therrien, has been appointed to support the European cities involved in this effort.
The scientific committee will share relevant research and results with city practitioners, and will develop a methodology to compare approaches used by different cities. The committee will work with the cities to prepare a report on project developments.
As a governance specialist, Professor Therrien contributes expertise in coordination and strategic collaboration among actors involved in preparedness and disaster management.
