The Cité-ID Direc­tor has been appoint­ed to the Sci­en­tif­ic Com­mit­tee of the City of London’s Counter-ter­ror­ism Pre­pared­ness and Soci­etal Resilience Project.

The Cité-ID Direc­tor has been appoint­ed to the Sci­en­tif­ic Com­mit­tee of the City of London’s Counter-ter­ror­ism Pre­pared­ness and Soci­etal Resilience Project.

Through the project, the City of Lon­don is col­lab­o­rat­ing with the cities of Barcelona,​Man­ches­ter, Paris, Rot­ter­dam and Stock­holm to improve pre­pared­ness against the risk of ter­ror­ist attacks and bet­ter man­age the recov­ery phase. The aim is to sup­port and exchange learn­ing around how to improve resilience in these large Euro­pean cities.

A sci­en­tif­ic com­mit­tee of eight inter­na­tion­al researchers, includ­ing ENAP pro­fes­sor and direc­tor of Cité-ID, Marie-Chris­tine Ther­rien, has been appoint­ed to sup­port the Euro­pean cities involved in this effort.

The sci­en­tif­ic com­mit­tee will share rel­e­vant research and results with city prac­ti­tion­ers, and will devel­op a method­ol­o­gy to com­pare approach­es used by dif­fer­ent cities. The com­mit­tee will work with the cities to pre­pare a report on project developments. 

As a gov­er­nance spe­cial­ist, Pro­fes­sor Ther­rien con­tributes exper­tise in coor­di­na­tion and strate­gic col­lab­o­ra­tion among actors involved in pre­pared­ness and dis­as­ter management.
